Stationery packs are complete sets of school stationery, packed per learner or per grade so each child gets everything on the list in one bag. Schools buy them to save parents time, and companies and NGOs order them for CSI and donation drives. StationerySupplies.co.za is a free quote service. You fill in one form and we send it to independent suppliers who pack stationery, and they quote you directly. We do not sell, pack or deliver anything ourselves, and there is no fee or obligation. Tell us the contents, quantity and delivery date.
Back-to-school stationery packs per grade
A back-to-school stationery pack follows the school's own list for each grade. A Grade 1 pack might hold crayons, pencils, a glue stick, scissors and a few exercise books, while a Grade 10 pack adds a calculator, maths set, pens and more books. Suppliers can pack in clear bags, pencil cases or plain backpacks and label each one with the learner's name or class. Parents collect one pack instead of shopping item by item, and the school gets one invoice. Packs are usually sorted by class before delivery, with a packing list taped to each carton, so teachers can hand them out on the first morning. Ask whether the supplier will hold a few spare packs for late enrolments.
CSI and NGO donation packs
Corporate social investment teams, churches and NGOs often fund a stationery pack for every learner at a partner school. Common choices are:
- A standard pack per phase: foundation, intermediate or senior
- A pencil case with basics, for very large numbers on a tight budget
- A school bag with stationery inside, sometimes with a branded bag or sticker
Agree the contents with the school first so the packs match what teachers actually use. Ask suppliers for a tax invoice, and for proof of delivery signed by the school if your CSI reporting needs it.
Packing, labelling and branding
Packing labour is part of the price, so the same items cost more as packs than loose in cartons. Ask each supplier what is included: bagging, name labels, sorting by class and a packing list per carton. Branded bags or pencil cases need artwork and a longer lead time, and usually a minimum quantity. Printed labels and stickers can add the donor or school name without branding every item.
Ordering a stationery pack in time
Send the list and quantities at least six to eight weeks before you need the packs, and longer for branded items or orders in the thousands. Confirm one sample pack before full packing starts. Prices normally exclude or show 15% VAT separately, and delivery may be free above a minimum. Most suppliers want an official order and a deposit or approved account. Check the delivery plan too: hundreds of packs take up a lot of space, so agree where they will be offloaded and stored. For loose bulk orders, see stationery for schools.
What to include in your request
